Erwin Eberhardt Memorial Scholarship

Officer Erwin Eberhardt served the Cleveland Police Department for 30 years, and also served as associate commander of the Police Academy at Tri-C’s Public Safety Training Center of Excellence. He was an excellent instructor and focused on training the next generation of law enforcement officers in Northeast Ohio. He took great pride in sharing real world examples of life as a first responder while teaching cadets how to balance the many roles and responsibilities of the job.
He was highly regarded and respected by staff and cadets. This scholarship was created by one of the cadets who trained under Officer Eberhardt as a way to honor his memory by supporting future Police Academy cadets.
Criteria:
• Students who have been accepted and enrolled into the Basic Police Academy
• U.S. Citizen
• Recommended by Tri-C Police Academy Command Staff
