Dr. Jerry Sue Thornton Endowed Scholarship Fund

Created initially in 2002 to honor Dr. Jerry Sue Thornton’s 10th anniversary as President of Cuyahoga Community College. Upon Dr. Thornton’s retirement in June 2013, the Scholarship Fund increased significantly as community and business leaders donated funds to honor and recognize her superb leadership, dedication, and commitment to the Tri-C Foundation, the College, and the students and community we serve. Awards may be considered for childcare, temporary transportation costs and other situations that may restrict the students’ access to education. Criteria: 2.5 GPA, Enrolled in Instructional or Workforce Training Program.
