MetroHealth Empowering Communities Endowed Scholarship

As part of its mission, MetroHealth not only takes care of the ill and injured, but is also focusing on fulfilling the mission of “Leading the way to a healthier you and a healthier community through service, teaching, discovery and teamwork.” As a way to extend this mission, the MetroHealth Empowering Communities Endowed Scholarship supports not only MetroHealth employees and their family members, but also residents of the neighborhood surrounding the MetroHealth campus – providing scholarships needed to pursue education and training that leads to good jobs.
Criteria:

• Must maintain a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA
• Must be enrolled in either a credit-based or Workforce Training Program that leads to a certificate or credential in a high-demand field.
• Preference for applicants who meet one of the following criteria:
o MetroHealth employees and their family members who are enrolled at
Tri-C,
o Students who reside in MetroHealth’s core communities, or
o Students enrolled in a Health Career Program
• Develop and sign an “Academic Plan” – for credit students
• Scholarship is renewable for one additional year as long as criteria is met.
• If continued eligibility is not met, including ongoing retention in a program, scholarship funds will be redirected to the fund
