Ardelia Lois Dickens and Zella M. Haggins Memorial Scholarship

Established in memory of Ardelia Lois Dickens, who enrolled at Tri-C at the age of 42, graduated with an Associate’s of Applied Science degree in Nursing in 1976, and became a registered nurse. The fund was augmented by Edward T. Haggins in memory of his wife, Zella M. Haggins, who was the sister of Ardelia Lois Dickens. Mrs. Haggins graduated from Tri-C with honors in 1982 at the age of 56. Criteria: Major in Nursing or a Health Careers program that would include training as a therapist, African-American student, Student is expected to contribute, in part, toward his/her own educational cost.
